How about interning in London?

Category: Careers, General — angela.jones @ 12:35 pm

The Washington Center has recently announced a new internship program that allows you to work in London! Read on for an excerpt from the email message I recently received about this exciting opportunity:

“You’ve been considering our internship program in the U.S. capital city, and perhaps you’ve also explored options to study abroad. Why not combine the two? During the summer of 2007, The Washington Center will be launching a new Washington, D.C.-London Internship Program to provide students with an integrated academic and work experience in a comparative and global context. If you participate, you’d begin the summer with a 10-day seminar in Washington, D.C. and then fly to London for an 8-week internship in the capital of the United Kingdom.

“Organizations with which you might intern include the United Nations Association, Global Radio News, Amnesty International UK, the Labour Party, the London Chamber of Commerce, the British Museum and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, among others. Coursework will be provided in British Life and Culture and you would also complete reflective assignments related to your placement.
